Weathered old wooden door I captured in the French Island of Martinique while walking through the narrow streets filled with bakeries selling trays of baguette and street vendors. The cement parging has fallen away exposing the red brick beneath it with the mortar falling away adding an almost 3-dimentional aspect to the image. The years of wear have exposed a history of paint colors that have protected the wooden planks that make up the door from the ravages of the Caribbean heat and violent storms.
